No matter what your background in diving is, the PADI BASIC FREEDIVER course will open your mind to a whole new understanding of what freediving really is.

You will learn the basic theory of Freediving and the skills we use to hold our breath for longer.  We will then take what you've learned and apply it by practicing the skills in a shallow water area and also how to practice in a safe and responsible way.

Course Time: 2.5-3.5hrs total

1hr Freediving basics theory

2hrs Skills testing in shallow water

You do not have to take the PADI BASIC FREEDIVER course to move on to the PADI FREEDIVER course.  If you are comfortable around the ocean then you may want to think about taking the PADI FREEDIVER course instead.

This is probably the most challenging and rewarding freediving course. For those who are already confident in the open water, this course is your starting point. The course builds a foundation of good technique and safety and consists of two theory sessions, a pool session and two open water dives.

To successfully complete the PADI Freediver course you will have to perform a 1:30 minute breathold, swim 40m underwater with fins and dive to 10m in the open water.

Course Time: 4-5 hrs per day over 2 days

Day 1: Class Theory, Static Apnea skills practice, Static Safety, Open Water skills practice in the 10m (33ft) depths, Open Water Safety skills

Day2:  Open Water deep safety skills, Open Water deep dives up to 15m (50ft).

Interested in going deeper and improving your technique? This course goes into the theory of Freediving in more depth which will allow you to understand the physiology and techniques behind diving deeper. The course will help you improve your Freediving performance whilst advancing your safety and rescue skills. This course consists of theory sessions, a confined water session, and open water dives.

To successfully complete the Advance Freediver course you will have to perform a 2 minute 45 second breath hold, and dive to 24 meters in the open water.

Training Seminars $150

We offer 2 different Training Seminars here on Kauai.  They are "Breath Hold" and "Depth" seminars.

With our Breath Hold Seminar you'll be guided through your max breath hold attempts in a safe and controlled area just as if you were in a competition setting.  This includes a warmup time of 45minutes prior to your max breath hold performance attempt.  You will have the option of being coached during your max performance and then personally briefed on what you can do to improve your times.

With our "Depth Seminar", it's essentially the same thing but we don't get as organized as in the competition settings.  We limit this course to a few individuals due to safety reasons.  We either swim out or take a boat out depending on the conditions.  We only allow those who have previously taken a freedive course no matter what organization.  We require this due to safety as well.  This is just for people looking to increase their personal depths.  We roll out, set up, hit dives, and then return and talk for a little bit.
